New Wrath of the Lich King Skills/Talents

I’ve been looking at the new Hunter talents and am seeing a lot of hate for the new Marks 51 point talent. I personally think it’s an awesome option, so when Lich King goes live I’m specing like this.

It’s a kind of Drain team set up (hate playing on a drain team but I’m made to do it), and my pet will be a bird of prey (Eagle ftw) with its spec being this. This will make it have a very high chasing speed plus giving me back my mana, making it easier to drain the other team.

Any other Hunters (or other classes for that matter) thinking of re-specing for Lich King? If you’ve not looked over the new skills/talents you can find a directory of them here.

Petitioned to have this moved to Warcraft forum.

The new talents are looking pretty cool. However, Warhammer Online is where I plan to be moving too. If that turns out as a fail I'll most likely give WotLK a go, however, Blizzard hasn't impressed me in recent years and while the latest expansion pack is looking pretty fine, it doesn't cater to what I like in an MMO.

One thing I've noticed though is that in some cases things will be incredibly unbalanced. Not that is much of a change from now I guess. The whole Shadow Dance talent for Rogues, when sen in action is ridiculous.

Fire Mages are even more overpowered now. And so on. The only way I could ever really go back to that game is if Blizzard deepened the classes but at the same time made them enjoyable and able to counter if played right. There is no depth.

All I remember about grouping with mages is, that if they were fire, I'd be constantly healing their ass since they didn't control their threat, and simply unloaded DPS.

The new Warlock Demonology talents look pretty interesting though. Then again, all lock's ever had to do in PvP was roll their faces across the keyboard.

I've played SV hunter pretty much since I dinged 70 after TBC came out and I'll have to say that I'm completely over the moon about the new talents. It has been a forgotten spec for a long time but it looks like it's finally gonna change.

While Hunter's are often given a heap of crap by the playerbase due to being in the class majority, and immature and so on, it is such a great feeling when you come across and group with a skilled one and they save your ass.

The typical hunter is a simple minded twat.
A skilled hunter is formidable as anything.

The survival changes look pretty sweet indeed, and I'd be sorely tempted to start one up if I got back into the game.

Well Im playing again.(I quit a while back).So I made a new character,an undead rogue and Im in the Burning Blade realm.Hope some of ye are in that realm,id sure like to meet and pwn you,hehe.

Ugh.. no.. not Rogue. Unless you enjoy a more simple and straightforward class, start again as something else. I found it difficult to get into groups, and that during raids and high end content I was never really good for anything as a whole. Just some little guy wearing hawt leather the healer would have to expend mana on.

Might I ask, what other classes have you played in the past? I've got a massive set of exams coming up and going to get the scroll of resurrection cast on my account after them, looking at giving something wildly different a go, either Paladin or Warlock.

Rogues are pretty decent now. They're the number one 2's and 3's DPS class (Rogue/Druid or Rogue/Mage/Druid is GG) and are probably the best single target DPS dealer in T6 content.

Would be interesting if I still played I guess. Never got mine past 68 due to my lack of interest in the class.

That, and the gazillion other rogues that wanted to group as well caused problems.

Hmmm well I played a mage and a warrior,hated the warrior and wasnt to happy with the mage,I picked a rogue simply because everyone I was friends with on the game told me to.They said it was one of the most powerful and fun.But Ive never played anything else than rogue,mage and warrior so some more information on the rest would be useful,information as what they are good at and what not.I hope to get to level 70 before wotlk.

I don't really play anymore either, just log on every few days when I'm bored and maybe run something. I've kept up with updates and stuff though so I can get back into it with WotLK.
