* Totems - The totems help out in a number of ways, but also take a buttload of mana to produce.
*Shock - Since the totems take up so much mana the Shaman has little mana left to take off the big bonus value.
* Quick Heal - I see this a a big discusion issue. This might be a very quick way to heal but it also is very to easy to interrupt with a quick attack(daggers). | The Healing is not a problem, you sacrifice how much damage you heal for how fast you can heal them.
Totems are not mana consuming. At least where my friend's shaman is at, perhaps the quests are hard, but the mana shouldn't be an issue.
If anything, the shaman is a character for those getting the game. With healing, armor, totems, travel forms, and shields, it's not a bad char to start with.
Personally, I can kill shamans all of the time, if anything they're easy. The only thing that gets me is the Totem for Slowing of Movement. It's hard casting at a distance.
