Shaman's Too Powerful?

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of talk about Shaman's being too powerful. The otherday I was playing and a horde player came into an alliance territory claming how the alliance out numbers the horde and still kills them. Ammediately a player says just because you have Shamans and they are WAY overpowered. They are maybe a little bit over powered in my opinion, ut can be taken down with the right strategy.

* Totems - The totems help out in a number of ways, but also take a buttload of mana to produce.
*Shock - Since the totems take up so much mana the Shaman has little mana left to take off the big bonus value.
* Quick Heal - I see this a a big discusion issue. This might be a very quick way to heal but it also is very to easy to interrupt with a quick attack(daggers).

shamans can eat me. they're overpowered in deed they're a mage with mail armor. all they gotta do is throw down grounding totem run a bit so i cant catch up, turn frost bolt earth shock and usually dead by this point because they crit out the ass. as a rogue i can kill priests fairly easy w/ the anti fear trinket and hopefully the dot don't kill me and interupt the heals, the shaman heal is faster i believe and way harder to break. in AV i killed an afk shaman and it was easy and fast becasue he didn't heal. honestly i think it is the fast heals and totems a bit. only bad part about rogue vs shaman is the point factor if i cheap shot and 2 SS and he lays grounding and i cant reach i have to hit the totem and lost my pts before i go for him again. makes it tough =(

As a warrior, a shaman is easy to kill if done right. You have to take him down like any other spellcaster, charge him. after charge hamstring him. no sence for him to throw down a GT do to the fact he can't move away fast enough (if he does it will be useless if you stay in front of him) When ever hes gonna cast a spell I spam pummel and switch to my shield and shield bash him. If he gets away i just intercept him which stuns for 4 secs. for those totems.... whirlwind takes them out faster then anything. he might get a 1-2 heals off before hes 20% health instead of keeping his health 90% full. when he gets to 20% health... execute = GG.

/dance over dead shaman

Rogues can do the same. stealth and sprint is deadly. start the fight with a gouge. run behind and backstab. repeat if going easy. if not, start kicking him to stop spells. Keep 1 point on them for such things as kidney puch. Remeber crippling poison is your friend. If he gets away from you sprint on him and stun. If your about to die use sprint to get away and stealth. I dunno how many times I dueled a rouge and sat there waiting to become unstunned only to be stunned again.

as for being overpowered. I dont think so. Take a look at the pally. im not saying there overpowered but they are harder to kill for warriors.

The Healing is not a problem, you sacrifice how much damage you heal for how fast you can heal them.

Totems are not mana consuming. At least where my friend's shaman is at, perhaps the quests are hard, but the mana shouldn't be an issue.

If anything, the shaman is a character for those getting the game. With healing, armor, totems, travel forms, and shields, it's not a bad char to start with.

Personally, I can kill shamans all of the time, if anything they're easy. The only thing that gets me is the Totem for Slowing of Movement. It's hard casting at a distance.
