It does, but only up to about lvl 45. After that the money starts flowing in.

There's litterally no excuses to not be able to get the gold required for it, granted that if you aren't aware of how to get some gold easily, here's some ways to achieve it.

I'm a paladin , I have mine and also have 6k g. I didn't even try to get gold.

Things you can do everyday to get gold:

*EXTRA TIP* Netherwing Dailies: They can be once you have an epic mount and complete the quest chain that you get from Mordenai in shadowmoon valley (Thottbot World of Warcraft: Creature: Mordenai)

Shattari Skyguard Dailies: The Terrokar part is accessible by talking to Yuula (Thottbot World of Warcraft: Creature: Yuula) and completing Thottbot World of Warcraft: Quest: Threat from Above + Thottbot World of Warcraft: Quest: To Skettis!. The other part ( Blade's Edge mountains ) will become accessible once you'll have done the quest chain from Grok.

- Ogri'la Dailies: They are accessible by doing the quest chain that starts in Lower city ( You get it from an ogre named Grok). It goes like this : Thottbot World of Warcraft: Quest: Speak with the Ogre > Thottbot World of Warcraft: Quest: Mog'dorg the Wizened > Thottbot World of Warcraft: Quest: Even Gronn Have Standards + Thottbot World of Warcraft: Quest: Maggoc's Treasure Chest +

- Mining: Stacks of adamantite can easily sell for over 20g each.... and you can even get more gold out of it if you have a friend willing to prospect them for you. As a bonus , you may find earth motes + fire motes. Although Primal earth doesn't go for a high amount itself, you can keep the motes and get some Ironshield potionshttp://www.thottbot.com/i22573 made. As far as the primal fire goes, it's used in alot of recipes that are quite popular (mainly BS weapons) Thottbot World of Warcraft: Primal Fire.

-Elemental plateau: All the primals in the game can be aquired from there , except primal shadows and primal mana.

There are alot of other ways to make gold but it's just how I make mine :P.

Best way I have found to make gold is to farm gathering supplies.
Skins
Ore
herbs
etc...

Once you get the hang of what spots to farm and get your path down you can easily make 50g+ an hour.

Dailies and motes are what I think the best.
Though there was a great way to make gold a while back involving tailoring, netherweave and (I think), disenchanting. There was a video on warcraftmovies.

Im on a fairly new server so stuff sells for alot less than listed.

My big money maker was skinning. I saw people killing animals and leaving them and to me thats just money layin on the ground waitin to be picked up.

What really annoyed me is some of the more valuable higher level leathers and skins people with no sense of economics would be sellin stuff for silvers when it should be sold for golds. When possible I would go in and buy it up and resell it.


On some occasions I looted 40-50 skins in one session off dead animals that were left behind.

Unfortunately my lvl 70 hunter is a skinner no more. I dropped skinning and took engineering and mining. Still working to get mining skill up.

Juat go into wailing caverns, and fish for deviate fish. On my server they sell for 10-15g per stack
