The Easiest way to make money is to buy a crap load of holiday items. Wait 4-5 months and sell them! Snowballs sell for alot.

Mining jewels, I sold 3 Azerothian Diamonds the other day for 30 gold.

Used to, you could grind nagas in feralas for golden pearls and sell them for 30g a piece. Depends on your server though.

I personally hate the farming one the most, but crafting is more my stlye i would say.

Here's what I did, it worked fairly well.
From level 1-50 I mostly bought things in the auction house and resold for more. On my server this worked well with wool, silk and linen. Every once in a while you might find an epic or rare item which you can buy below it's average prize (check thottbot and allakhazam for those).
From level 50-60 I got most of my money from Large Rope Nets which drop from Devias trappers in Westfall and selling discombobulator-rays (engineering-item). Of course this works best on pvp-servers.
From level 40 on you can farm turtles, with a bit of luck you will find golden pearls which sell for at least 20G a piece. If you can skin those turtles and sell their leather and scales it's even better.

In the Western shore of Westfall there is a small outpost that’s surrounded by level 12-13 Defias Trappers. This is a great farming spot for low level and even high level players because these Trappers respawn super fast. These Trappers have a 35% drop rate for Linen Cloth so higher level can fill their backbag with Linen Cloth very quickly while lower level
players can use this spot to grind for experience.

I have a 48 Draenei on Kirin Tor and started him out with JC to try out the new profession. I have it at 211 now and can make lots of money in a matter of minutes. The easiest way is to mine iron ore and up, then prospect them. It will give you gems that you would need for making items. With iron and mithril I can get a lot of aquamarines, citrines, and lesser moonstones and put them up oh the AH and sell them for 2-5g for about 3 of each item. The moonstones and aquamarines go for more that some of the other gems I get, but it is a good way to make money. I raised the money I needed for my first mount in less than a day, the full amount. The thing that sucks about prospecting is that it takes 5 ore and you usually only get one gem and some dust. But you can sell the gems for some serious gold and you can sell the dust you get also.

These tips are handy, but true player does not reveal how he did earn heaps of gold, except maybe that I did manage to buy one Blacksmithing plans for like 5 silver and sold if for over 10g so ratio I earned was HIGH.
Also I managed to sell one Phantom Blade for 120g just because one of raw materials is very expensive.

Also not all tips apply to all servers since each realm has own economy, but generally it would be good to seek materials that are in high demmand and prices.
