1st. Let's drop the whole thing about blocking out specific servers in the game browser. That's not going to happen. It wouldn't solve the problem and regardless of the details of implementation. We're not going there.

Welcome back long time no see (here)!!!! I think you'll admit that things have been going more smoothly here lately. Even before Dragon took on his new role. We've been keeping a much tighter grip on the fights and inflamatory statements when they start up.

Will you all knock it off about this banning crap. You'd think we banned people every day. In all of last year, you can practicly count on one hand the number of people we've banned from this forum. Two of those people started posts saying "You can go ahead and ban me but". Another makes a living being banned from servers and forums.

That's right, you are wrong on that one. Why do you think we have so many moderators and AhZ and dread have special threads in the staff forums in order to keep this lot in line. This forum is a blessing and a curse on GF. We have probably the most dedicated, passionate bunch of people on the whole site. However, you guys really know how to piss each other off.

Yep. That happens a lot with siblings. One kid will do little teasing, out of sight of the parents. It'll be nothing to bad, but enough to drive the other to total distraction. Then that poor kid will scream and punch and cry till they are the one that the parent gets really annoyed with or the one the parent punishes. It's a good tactic. And it works!

You chose to give us each a stein and a mouse pad. That was VERY GENEROUS and was more than I was expecting. I created a special thread and said an extra thank you to you in it! I overnighted one package to iggy and two dayed the another to Dragon to ensure they would get them before Christmas. I sent the others off to Rose and Hewster. You called me a couple times since then asking about suspicious activity on the servers. I told you it was not a problem that you called and I'd rather know about that sort of thing and to call anytime, it was a pleasure talking to you.

After the New Years holiday, we got an email from a player saying you were flipping out about us. Accusing one us of making racial statments in front of AhZ and Gizmo and slandering you because of your last name, and going back to your theory of a year ago that Hewster is actually WildDK trying to drum up action by sparking contraversy.

You spent three hours attacking some poor noob player who was playing poorly enough for you to think he was me. He wasn't. The first thing you said when you rejoined the server and started yelling at everyone was, "I can't get in". That prompted us to look at the emails where we sent out the password for the first and only test session so far in 2005. We found your name wasn't on the list of final testers. We are all guessing that this is why you are angry.

Yes, we divided the testers into two groups. Those who had caught significant issues and showed up regularly and those who rarely showed up for testing. We want to have some very precise tests in this last couple rounds and we are releasing some early news to the smaller set beta testers. Our full testers list was too large to manage and needed to be trimmed. It turns out your name was not in either group. Dragon caught that our "before" and "after" count did not add up but couldn't identify which name fell through the cracks. It turns out it was yours.

I've already appologized for this. But we still don't understand how that relates to racial comments that no one ever heard...not even the "witnesses". And BTW, I did not pass your last name on to anyone other than your secret santa and that person was not who you accused of being racist. I'm fine with letting this drop but I'm not going to sit back and let you rub our faces in some imagined slight that you won't even step up and identify. You have not yet said ONE (1) word to us about why you are angry, if and how we've offended you. The beta test thing I think is a good guess. If you'd called me when you couldn't get back into the server, you'd have been in to test within the next 5 minutes. You're being so snotty about things now, that I don't think either of us would enjoy you beta testing now.

If you want your cash back for the Secret Santa Gifts, I'm quite sure that can be quickly arranged assuming you at least have the decency to send us an email explaining why you are pissed.

And you're right. Not all members are doing this. I notice that on that list is Jana. I usually see him playing as Jana. However, the fact of the matter is that your guys are doing it and know of others who aren't in your clan who are also involved in the baiting. I have no authority at all over you guys, so I'm asking once again, please stop. Haven't you had enough fun by now? Yes it pisses them off. Even if it might be payback but does it have to be like this all the time? Mikkel was banned after he kept pushing harder and harder and harder till the whole dam broke. The whole use of cheats in RtCW based games WAS the final load of straw but it came up only after there were soooo many taunts and backlashes and infighting that the whole situation was unbearable. Can you actually say that was an enjoyable time for anyone? Is that the world everyone has to live in????

I agree with most of what you are saying here but not with what you are implying. Hewster <> WildDK, Dragon has several names that he has posted here. Iggy and Hewster each have one other name that they occasionally play under to join a match objectively. I play only under Queeg. Feel free to YaWN my name and follow the two GUIDs it shows I've played under. I am who I am. You can take it or leave it. There is no area 51 conspiracy with the devteam joining servers under 300 different names just to cause trouble.

I do take your point, if it was one you were making, about the teasing hints I gave regarding the new maps under development and the cloak and dagger around them. I'll not mention them again here. Frankly, I was in a weird mood that day and was happy to be able to leak a couple screen shots. The intrigue and fun turned annoying to the readers when no one wanted to play along and tease out more information. It didn't quite work how I'd intended.

You're right that both groups have made it absolutely impossible to play WW each other. Both clans are caught up in some other game that doesn't have a name or rules anymore... Frankly, I don't know that it can or will end. How do you end a war that has been going on for years... It sure doesn't give much hope for the future of the Palestinians and Israelis does it...

OK - I'm off... I was up till 4am last night working on the new launching program for 1.6 and I wanted to get more done on it tonight. Yes, I put 6 hours in WW development last night and 3 the night before and 4 the night before that. All while working a paying job and maintaining sanity here and with GF in general. And not giving up any time with my wife and four kids. So forgive me if I'm a bit cross tonight.
