psst. it's a matter of teamwork and creativity. I've managed most roof tops when I have the time and tallent with me. Of course leaving a rooftop usually involves a messy splash, but such is the life of sky divers.

I may have picked up on a previously undisclosed BIG bug in Canyon. I'm thinking it may have to do with the beta, as I've never noticed it before.

Since the vets know the fortress by heart, I thought I needed a refresher so I went in late last night as a spectator. Funny, the spectator spawns inside the tower with the chained girl! As the doors weren't open yet, there isn't much to spectate. Fine I thought, I'll putz around as a cowboy until the 2min mark is reached.
Lol - even more fun, after the 2min mark the spectator spawns in the tiny room that will be the end animation sequence! The cowboy and girl are standing there ready to embrace, frozen, and the room only has two walls which is very disorienting if you look at them. Anyway, if you want noobs to be able to look around in canyon before they play...

I don't mean to speak for Hewster, but I had asked him about the spectator getting stuck in the room with the girl, and he told me that the original canyon map was lost, so he can't fix that. I don't know if this is still the case, but it was when I asked him a while back.

Yup still the case. That's why the keys bug was so hard for him to fix. He couldn't open the map to find out what the prob was or change it where it needed to be changed....not meaning to speak for Hewster either....
Good Catches. Keep them coming!
btw there's a thread somewhere around where where I talk about being caught in that ending sequence room and getting a good look at the girl. A the time I had no idea what hewster looked like (he's the miner in the game not sure who the Dr is...) and I thought maybe it was a him in drag given the low res of the image! But looking at the actually image "skin" of the md3 "model", I can tell that is definately not Hewster!!! Then I thought perhaps it was Sarrah Huff It might still be her but there is a beauty mark that is missing from her left cheek. And so the mystery remains...

yes but he has been having trouble with his new PC crashing... looks like it was the
Nvidia / PB problems some players have been talking about in other forums.

FYI, then the new Foreware drivers came out for Nvidia cards, players were reporting
PC crashes when joining a PB enabled server.... apparently the very latest Nvidia drivers
plus the latest PB resolves this problem

I found that when you jump from the second flag and land where the crosshairs are located (between the rock and the rail) you can't get back out without killing yourself.

Yep, been stuck there myself a few times. We know about it but we don't have the source code for the map any more, so we can't fix it. The source code was lost a long time ago...sorry.
