Iam tired to explain things - only one example: If I want to play on RR then I NEED to borrow me a key of my friends because Iam banned there for no reason since 3 month. :)

Yep I did that and I saw an important thing! If I look for =wwe=rudi then it shows me 3 keys - but I know it better - there should be 4!! So I looked for the missed key and found out that it is Unterguru's key, GUID #######.
Iam sure that I played with his key several times! But the best thing is - a yawn search for Untergurus GUID shows nothing about it as good as it wouldnt exits - IMO there is something wrong with his key.
Something dark and dirty thing is happened to Untergurus key.

Sh*** you discovered me and Unterguru. I have to come out. We are gay and we are sharing all our things. :beer:

unter, what op system are you using? Not sure but this may help us solve this mystery.

untergurus daily news: yesterday i have been at rudis home! There everything worked fine!
At the moment i got 4 valid keys, to test! ---> they were working!

Then i drove home...all the 4 keys did not work! I called rudi --> At his PC all the 4 keys were valid! i tried again...all invalid....

Today in the morning at 8 o clock, I tried again...and look there... it was working!

So I guess my provider causes timeouts while connecting to wolfauthorize.idsoftware.com!
and this only when there are many people who are online!

Does anybody know, (how to find a forum the admins are in) or how to contact the admins of this server...(wolfauthorize.*.*)
if they would take look at the logfile my problem would be solved!

I run a Windows XP proffessional SP1! But i will try linux *g*! ... fed up of windows!

You can email Activision Support but they won't help. All they will say is they have no control over that server. :( :( :(

Give it a try though maybe you'll get lucky!

untergurus daily news: I GOT IT!

It was a PB fault...after deactivating and activating the PB!
every key was working ---> 5 minutes before I tried the keys, and only saw: "invalid CD key"! So it must have been a problem with the PBguid...

maybe it is local stored...ore sth. like that!

Thank u all ... i HOPE that I won't see ya in that thread again!

This is good news indeed, so in future when someone has this problem, I'll tell them to
deactivate & reactivate PB :)

I dont know exactly what it is...but yesterday I had the problem again...

and deacticating...did not help! The errormessage: "PB has to be actived" was not on my screen. So there was just an "invalid CD key"! But after 15 minutes watching TV i tried again, and...errormessage: "PB has to be actibated" so i activated it, played 2 hours, but then it didn't work again! ...after an "unknown server error"

So the solution only works sometimes, or it was just luck! hmmmmmmm...

I heard Trojans can cause those probs, too... but i guess i do not have any virus!

You may very well have a virus/worm but I don't think it causes the key problem. If you use this online virusdetector you might be supprised what you have on your hd.
