Iggy, this is probably common knowledge, but I'm just trying to help...Keep in mind that the name of a shader isn't necessarily the name of the actual image file. It could be just the name in the shader, pointing to a different texture. :)

I did not want to release it just yet until we talked about it. But, with Hewster gone, and you gone, and Queeg gone, it was hard to get hold of anyone.

Whats this about Queeg gone? Gone where? I notice he's not in the moderators list anymore.

Anyways I'd thought about that with the shaders and I did manage to convert one of the old maps before using the new shaders but how I did it escapes me. I'll have a play about this week and see what I can come up with.

Thanks Man, I ran into Queeg on my TS last night, and we think it is the shader thing like you said. It is looking for a bunch of kb_smoke stuff in one of the shaders, which I think it uses to draw the torches. It is the bandit campfire and the lower cavern torches that are goofed up.

I think I found the campfire one when re-mapping the valley. Check what I used.

Well he is not "gone gone", just working 60 hour weeks and does not have time for much right now.

psst, queeg's an upper level admin so when we had to crunch (they said we had too many mods) that was a simple change, he has all of my powers and then some :D

I personally would rather you be patient, than releasing the old version of mine,
I intend mine to be released with 1.6.

making 3rd party maps that players won't have unless they download will cause frustration
for newer players.

BTW, if your clever you could make the original mine map work with existing
textures that are avalible in 1.6, and the download could be very small (under 2Mb)

Re: Were Is The Mine

tested the pk3 m8, as far as me,skins, bong, hacko, and goony are concerned
no textures missing

i allso compared it with 1.12 (original mine map) and lighting with gl extentions is the same
so if u put vertex lighting on ... u cant see the bandit / cowboy model any more because its too dark , 2nd yet vital in gl_ extention it kinda looks like doom3 (all dark)

ill email the entire team developers/testers with my results
