INTRODUCING ULTRAMARINES – A WARHAMMER 40,000 MOVIE!

The moment fans have been waiting for is finally here... for the first time, the Warhammer 40,000 universe will be realised in a feature-length movie on DVD. (so straight to DVD then)



Ultramarines is a 70-minute sci-fi thriller that will use CGI and state-of-the-art animation production techniques. Games Workshop is delighted to be working with UK-based production company Codex Pictures, who have the momentous task of bringing the Warhammer 40,000 universe to the screen.


Apparently it's been in the work for a year !!!

Well according to that link the Movie was mentioned at the LA Gamesday back in August 2008.

Edit - Actually, that date of 2008 maybe isn't correct as it mentions -'is supposed to be of the same quality as Dawn of War 2'. The beta was only released in January 2009 and was announced in April 2008.
