What else are they supposed to do? button mashing fighting game? that would be retarded (in my opinion) it seems like its gona be fallout 3 meets gears of war kinda thing, you get to level up or customize your character (the rpg part) then the rest looks like its gona play kinda like gears of war. That will be an interesting combo (in my opinion) ^__^
actually, make it just like fallout and i think it would be an interesting game =D except for the weapon degrading, but i guess you could pray and your bolter would fix itself

I would say it looks more like an RPG with button mashing for close combat and little emphasis on ranged combat. At least that's what the leaked video said, it said that shooting was just to phase enemies to get close enough to chainsword them.
Am I the only one who finds "Deliverance" hilarious?
I can't see the game being anything near a standard RPG, not on a console, and everything I know about the gameplay does lend to it being a very action-heavy title.
So I'm pretty confident that until we know more, we can consider it a "battlefield action" title more than we can an RPG. Action will be the primary side of gameplay, with statistical progression and special skils unlockable as you proceed to beef your character up as the difficulty goes up.
Closest comparison I could think of at this moment is Warriors Orochi. Button-masher doesn't sound entirely incorrect.

Mate, that was before, Relic took control of the game, to be honest Relic isn't stupid enough to do that.
At the minute all we have for gameplay is a trailer.
Any gameplay been released since the original leaked footage? Maybe some footage to see whether it's going to be melee-based game or an equal portion goes to shooting and melee.

I think it would be cool if you could choose like one of the emperors armies (ig, sm, sob, dh) then follow a story line for whichever race you chose. you get to use differnt units for each mission and you get to fight with a squad. i recon that would be good, if not then they should at least have multiplayer where you get to choose what type of guy you are!
