Space Battles - Dude space battles would suck SM only have 1 space unit and thats a battle barge and that is just a transport, IG would have an overpowered fleet.

Titans are simply to big... Thier the size of a city if you put that into DOW 2 the maps would have to be huge compared to the current 8v8 maps and it would be a little over powering since SM no longer have any Titans so what do they get?

IG would then have baneblade Titan hunter class (overpowered on the table-top, over powered in-game)

Tyranids (If their included) Bio-Titan is easyly killed by a IG Titan or chaos.

Chaos Pritty well balanced when it comes to Titans.

I rest my case.

Btw, this is the offical set of things in DOW 2

Destoryable terrain
No navy (in other words no space, this is because that is the navy in 41st millenium)
No aircraft (However I dout this since they brought aircraft into SS why not DoW 2?)

Like dude, check one page back on my post, they will be having space battles.

nids I think would probably have the most overpowered fleet actually, the Imperial Navy is pretty good, but its no better than some of the other fleets.

if you read the spacewolfs novels, you will see that the marines actually have like 6 - 7 different types of ships

They have more than that. Reading the Horus Heresy novels :)

6 squad cap wont bode well for ig. if ever they get included. they just don't have the firepower to stand againts the other races pund for pound without outnumbering them first.

This game is far from complete imo. I doubt it will be out by 09' And yes I know they've been developing this as early as 05'.

well i read the new news letter. im pretty excited about the whole coop multiplayer. but again they are putting in a nonlinear campaign.

nonlinear campaign is cool and all but not where they're just a whole bunch of skirmishes.

Re: DOW 2 confirmed?

DC was cool, SS... I haven't even found the urge to finish. They could make a nonlinear game more fun If each territory was like a races stronghold(mini intro, story as to why they are here, small task like destroy a banner) And, I think all of these stories should converge into one, you just play from different perspectives. A SP like this would mean you'd have to play all four races to see the whole story, so that's at least 20 hours gameplay.

I'd also prefer DOW to keep with close quarters combat, but a different larger scale game should be made for the war-hammer universe. One similar to supreme commander but not as lame.

Re: DOW 2 confirmed?

Yep, yet agian another non linear campaign, as it says on the official website.
One good thing is, i wonder how it will work when doing it co-op. That could be soooooooo amazingly awesome.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II will deliver fast-paced RTS action with ferocious melee and ranged combat in fully destructible environments. Immersing players in an in-depth non-linear single-player campaign and a fully-co-operative multiplayer mode, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II is set to deliver the most visually-stunning Warhammer 40,000 setting ever created.

Thats one thing that bugs me about 40k in TT. It's going to soon be focused on nothing but CC, with this new running crap.. Lets make assualt armies stronger!
