thier first unit, the necron warrior, is WAY too powerful. Anyone who I'm playing as, the necrons just walk up to my units and kick them all in the happy sacks. And also it doesn't cost em a god damn thing to build

Pariahs
Every swipe reduces ur total health, even buildings :O, and wen u kil one another rebuilds in a matter of 4 seconds, and thier regenaration rate is SOOOO fast.

I got told that necrons can be overwhelmed really early... try to over whelm 2 squads of necrons and a lord with scouts, guardsmen, cultists or slugga boys. 92% of teens have moved onto rap. If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature (I so had to copy that from cronon666 :P, its true)
well if you fed up with dc why not start playing the original again. Trust me you will enjoy yourself
I can attest to that. WA or even the classic DoW will make you feel much hbetter. If you want to be the overpowered one for a change, play the first game's campaign.
Ah, yes the uber-complicated tech tree. its so hard for you to use, but the AI is an expert with it...
And if you want a cheap item for your lord, solar pulse, phylactery and lightning field is the way to go. He blinds your men and then gets them to melee, where he's frikkin invincible due to the phyklactery, and then if you send any rnaged units at him, BAM! killed by lightning strike. Even killing a single listening post will chrage the field enough to kill SM in one hit.
And then of course, there's the Destroyers. Just build a pair of Destroyer Lords (since they stun and steal vehicles, all enemy vehicles will be no threat) then just pump out as many normal destroyers as you can, presto instant pwnage

Actually, Hammerheads, Pred annihilators and Baneblades will all beat a Monolith in short order, especially if you get workers to heal them.
But the monolith can belch out 40 flayed ones(5 full squads) out in retaliation to your workers. And produce it's own workers during the battle. And can use the lord to disable all your guns. And summon even more soldiers. And ressurect the rest. You try that stuff with your Force commander or Shas'o. And then the monolith just teleports away.
Baneblade vs Monolith, BB wins.
Baneblade with support vs Monolith with support, lith wins.
also, has anyone else noticed that the Pariahs suck? like,a lot? the max health drop is minimal, and they do way too little damage to compete with Assault Terminators, Harlequins, or other melee specialists...but i suppose that's what flayed ones are for
Still doesn't make up for their other massive advantages, though.
maybe this is a tradition at Relic, since the Zann Consortium in the EaW FoC game is overpowered too...
Not neccecarrily mass since they gobble up a chunk off the Cap..I only use those guys to escort the monolith. Which is strangely enough highly vurnerable to I.G heavy-weapons team that has a lascannon upgrade.
