To be quite honest, I'm not looking forward to this new expansion even if it has 2 more races to add; the expansion just seems to be another way to rake in more cash from fans. The whole idea of aerial units is just lame, Warhammer 40k isn't even about air combat, and dark eldar just suck in general. Relic should have worked on another patch since a patch would atleast fix up Dark Crusade since its so unbalanced. However, DoW 2 would have been the best option, and I don't understand why Relic didn't make the decision to make it.

First, take it back with the dark eldar

Second, why would they work on another patch, if there was an expo coming out, that would change the game again, and this is happening.

Third, I agree with the 2 more races too much. I was the most happy with four to say the truth. It was the easiest to balance the game. And yes, Ig needs far better pathing for the guardsmen, the same eldar for guardians.

Fourth. Relic does not decide weather they do dow 2 or somebody else makes an expansion to DOW. The decision itself lies with the publisher and that is no one else than THQ.

Forgot about that last part, but however if they work on another patch that includes the 9 races...it will be extremly tough to balance all the races. Besides, Relic still hasn't been able to balance the other 7 in DC, so with 9 races its going to be absalutly retarded.

Exactly,me and my other mates often find ourself amazed how some races in DC are totally unbalanced,be it either nurfed or buffed.

no game is totally unbalanced its just you have to know how to use your race a tactical guy can take out the necs say like i dont know termies backed up with marines, artillary, tanks and flank them from behind using melta bombs on their vehicles.

as for the airforce it would be nice if all ranged units can shoot down the aircrafts with all units. like even the SM commander can shoot with his bolt pistol into the air. but wait hasnt the series alway have airforce i mean landspeeders assault marines stormboyz dont those count?

Not really D.C threw tactics out the window. Those crons and Tau are testament to this..Put aerial units in it and them koreans will flock the game ruining it for everyone else.

It used to be on how you play it (this was in the original Dow true) But when D.C came out the races had a sort of rock, paper, scissors effect on em'.

That could be a good thing, like, say different teams; for example IG and SM are an excellent pair for many reasons. And like in a multiplayer game, you would annalise your opponent, their favourite race, their wins, the race they are currently using, and then you would choose a race and tactics to utilice their weaknesses. More races would be good, because it would introduce more strategies, more ways to combat those strategies and different matches. With only four races you have a bigger chance of you having a boring match.

We will see how this works out.Maybe it will be good maybe it won´t.
I just hope they put the Nids in the game besides Dak Eldar.

Actually, the balance of dc, compared to let's say warcraft is amazing.
You have 7 very different different races, that are still more or less balanced.
Compared to warcraft's good balancing, which was only achieved after who knows how long, with four races, of which each is very similar.

Warcraft was based more on magic rather on melee,and ranged attacks so it was harder forthem to balance the game.
