Re: Im just saying in dow2....
If I was making the next game it would be something like this
DAWN OF WAR 2: The Tyranid Wars
Would have a random map generator.
Would have a integrated Map Maker.
Would have the option to have larger maps.
Garrisonable Buildings(like C&C)
Scripted Single Player Map Options(like ork invasion, defend the town, etc.).
Destroyable terrian.
New map types like starship, asteroid, and hulk(would have unit restrictions)
TYRANIDS(like the mod for DC but better).
BLOOD PACK(Imperium gets 2, why not chaos?).
Air Units(Would come in three types, Controllable transport, Airstrike, and controllable air unit that would leave when timer ran out or destroyed).
Better Turrents and buildable bunkers(tougher but more expensive).
More Units(SM Bikes, Chaos termies, etc.)
TITANS(Not to scale but big and scary, max one, staggeringly expensive)
LONG camps with tons of cutscenes and cool scripted missions but with risk like maps (think DC) but on a larger scale with multiple planets.
Have the option to play risk like conquer the planet, then the galaxy for MP with saves(like Empires at War and Rise of Nations II).
Players havingthe ability to modify each and every unit like Mark of Chaos and choose their weapons and abilities, Like the way you could choose your upgrades for the SM Predator in the first DoW.
Make Vehicles stay destroyed on the battlefield like infantry units.
Allow players to select the amount of resource stratigic points give, build times, and other game attributes so they can customize their maps to a greater extent(like Rise of Nations II).
Lastly I want the option to create my own campaigns. A nice built in very simple campaign builder that allows me to create my own conquer the galaxy map and put the maps I want to represent each territory, as well as write the story and choose the unit bonuses and perks each territory gives.
Will we get a game like this? Maybe. If we can get a game like Oblivion we can get a game like this, just hope they don't give us a game with mildly improved graphics, a few new units, a crappy cutscene, and charge 49.99 for it.
