they ought to make a w40k racing game with sm, orks, csm with bikes, eldar with jetbikes,necrons with destroyers etc.

They started one for Orks - it was based on GorkaMorka. The game wasn't that great and the Orks didn't look Orky enough to me, but it was ok for a laugh. It also had the interesting combination of driving or shooting - you drove and the computer shot at the other racers, or the computer drove (slightly slower) and you got to shoot (slightly more accurately)

As for a 40K racing game, I have severe doubts of that happening. GW games are all about keeping to the background and displaying it in different ways. There's no part of the background that'd cover multi-species racing like that, not to the extent of a reasonable computer game. Orks vs Orks maybe, Eldar Saim-Hann jetbikes, probably, but not SM and I can't see a Destroyer racing too well!

If they make a DoW II, then they need to keep somewhat near the original in terms of base building and such. A "total war" feel would be ace, especially with Tyranids and Orks, but some races (Space Marines and Eldar wouldn't fit in well with that me thinks).

Yeah, it wouldn't be much of a sequel if it was radically different. Most games I can think of at least keep the major themes and styles the same/similar (even if things like Tomb Raider and Duke Nukem progressed somewhat between some versions!)

WARHAMMER 40,000: DAWN OF WAR - SOULSTORM ANNOUNCED
Next iteration in the acclaimed RTS series on the way
Spring 2008 will see the return of the Dawn of War series to PC. Like its predecessors, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm will be a standalone expansion, playable with or without previous iterations; and this time containing 2 new playable factions, one of which is the malicious Dark Eldar, bringing the grand total to 9.
The new chapter will feature an entire intergalactic campaign, spanning not just a planet, but an entire star system - building on the revolutionary meta-game from Dark Crusade. Soulstorm will also introduce air units, additional units for the existing 7 races, and multiplayer achievements to boot.
RTS and Warhammer 40,000 fans are in for a treat then, as Relic, in association with Iron Lore Entertainment, continues its tradition of genre leading gameplay and strategic depth. We'll have plenty more on this soon, so stay tuned

That sound awsom. I would be pissed off if they booted up the graphics to much. You have to remember there are people that dont have 2gig of ram 3Ghz CPU's and Some crazy vidio card (GeForce 9's).

Yeah I've got a 1.46ghz Intel celeron inside processor on my latop and DOW-DC works on it??????????????????
