war2 servers?

Hi I played war2bne for probably 4 years, and I recently got the urge to play some GOW. Does blizzard still support the servers after all these years? Unfortunately I dont have the game anymore and before I go on the hunt to buy it, I want to make sure I can play :)

As far as I know, warcraft 2 is still supported by Bnet.
Anyway, why bother about wc2 when you have wc3?
