LAN Gaming Error, Refusing connection by server? I am trying to set up a lan game between two computers for the first time. Both computers can see each other fine in network neighbordhood. I set up a multiplayer game on one computer, and then when I try and join the game from the other computer (it does show up on the LAN games list) it says Connection Failed: Refused by server. When I go to the log for UT, it says that the Server is already at capacity?? But there is no one in the game at all. Does anyone have any ideas? |
Let the other computer fungate as server. I have the same problem at home. I think it has something to dio with the hub you use, the computer connected to port 1 can always fungate as a server? |
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm In preferences do you have network connection set to LAN? I don't think that makes a difference, but it's something to try. You can also try setting up the game with number of players allowed to something greater then 0 (it defaults to 0) but I think that may only be for bots...... As far as the HUB goes...if it is a HUB that uses an uplink, make sure no one is plugged into the port next to it, but this doesn't sound like a handware/ip stack problem. It just sounds like an in game problem... |
