the cable modem people showed up monday, and by the time he got laying his BS requirements on them, they realized how crazy he was, shook their heads, and left!

and - oh yeah! my razer showed up, and my P166 is too slow to use 90% of the functionality;

and - oh yeah! they screwed up my order, and i may NEVER get the free OEM edition of SOF i've been promised...

A T3 is a high speed fiber optics line used for transporting data. I'm not exactly sure of the bandwidth capability.

Please correct me if I'm wrong anybody, but I think a T1 is 24 digital voice/data channels... that cost you $1,500 a month to your provider (ie:Time Warner or something). And I think a T3 is 27 T1s, so that is $45,000 a month. These are usually used by: Phone companies, ISPs, large corperations, etc. for their phone systems and/or internet connections. Alot of people don't know that, but ISPs have to have ISPs also for the most part. So a T3 = a butt-fucking lot of bandwidth.

BTW, OG... I downloaded SoF... Pretty cool how you can GIB the shit out of everybody, but at some points the game doesn't run that great. Like the train level... it doesn't run nearly as smooth and pretty as the UT train map. Never the less, I'll probably buy it and play through it.

A T3 is 45 Mbps.
A T1 is only 1.544 Mbps
My DSL line is .768 Mbps right now but it can go up to 8 Mbps.
Cable modems are up to 4 Mbps.

i'm playing with the BZ2 demo and d/l'ing the SOF demo - while i wait for my free ones from razer;
i'm still d/ling and playing great QII SP levels, and now you're suggesting Duke might be a great one too?
i wonder if by trying to get into too many games at once if i'm spreading myself too thin, and not concentrating on just getting good at one or two.

I separate myself when it come to games... UT is my online game (replacing Q2), I have my other single player FPS games(Wheel of Time, Theif 1 and 2, HL, Opposing Force, Kingpin, SoF, etc.), and my LAN multiplayer games... (AOE2, Rogue Spear, Hidden and Dangerous, TA, and many more). ...... I just depressed myself realizing how many games I really play. And I'm still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever, TF2, and Diablo 2...

What happened to the days where Doom2 was it?! I would log onto a BBS and play four player DM and I had SO MUCH DAMN FUN! And on top of that the SP game rocked as well. Oh well... what can I say, I love PC games http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif .

BTW: Duke Nukem Forever is/will be a FPS... I believe there were two side scrolling Duke Nukems, then Duke 3d came out, and Duke Nukem Forever is due out this year some time (I hope).
