UMODs in Linux Is there any way to use UMOD files in Linux? I'm trying to get a simple thing like UWAR mutator working and it's not because of some stupid file error, it would be so much easier if I could use the UMOD instead of copying the fiels from my other computer. And YES, I did add it to ServerPackages. That's what's making it crash, right after that line. |
SHUT UP. |

You know, I'm pretty sure UMODs don't run under Linux. That's why most *responsible* mod authors release non-UMOD versions of their work. Go back to Windows if you want to use UMODs, you open-source hippie! http://boards.ioerror.com/biggrin.gif ------------------ All hate-mail to: ICQ - 63349331 axiom@seductive.com http://www.geocities.com/ax99567/ima...ike_myself.jpg |
Not to be critical or anything, but if the manual installation isn't working, the problem is likely someting you did incorrectly. Make sure everything is spelled right, and all the .U packages are accounted for. |
Yea, it was my fault, I figured it out. I had sent the UWar files to my other computer through FTP, and I had accidently sent them in ASCII mode instead of Binary. http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif However, it's still a pain to do manual because I have a mod that doesn't come in anything but a UMOD, and I have to install it to my Windows machine, find the files it added and copy them http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif No biggie though. Thanks. |
