Machine freeze while trying to access...
 

the player options screen. I recently started using the Xan model and voicepack (by forcing it in the user.ini file). Since then I am unable to open the player options screen because the computer will freeze (alt-tab, and cntl-alt-delete do not function)

Try confirming the source of the problem by restoring the INI to the way it was before you editted it. If it still happens then something else is amiss.
Sorry it's not much to go on but eliminating variables never hurts.
