Also, they sometimes have specials, like a free modem, if you order when the service first becomes available.

Hmmmm, I got my cable up and running less than 2 weeks after I ordered it (compared with some of the DSL horror stories I've heard )

this is called ZOOM cable service. they might be a bit faster at the setup. we already have cable TV duh, we're getting cable net access.....
