Error message with UT DEMO

When I chose to use my Direct 3D devices, which is my ATI Rage Pro TURBO 2x, I then chose to run UTDemo. While in process of running a critical error message came u p saying "Unable to Preallocate the following textures, 8x8." Or something like that, although it does not give me this message when I choose to use "Software rendeing". Does anyone know the proble or is this just a problem with the Download??
