I personally think bots are pants, and nothing compares to playing humans.
Could someone help me and tell me how to edit the names of bots in UT?

Yeah, start a practice session go to the "Bots" tab and then click "Configure". If you have the 413 patch, you can edit bots 1-32... Their names, skills, skins, voices, models, etc.
