Whats right and what wrong? Please read n reply. Ok here's the scenario. There is a competitive close pick up game. On one team there is a high pinger 300-400. He's doing his best and hanging in the best he can. Enter the server admin. He make a quick comment. "wow there are people actually here". Yes his server is rarely populated. Well he desides he'd like to play. He then proceeds without a word to boot the high pinger. The high pinger returns as a spectator because the game is full. He asks the admin why he booted him. The admin replies. "because your ping sucked". Was this a respectible thing to do? Or Was he a prick and should have just waited for the next map? Even I wouldn't do something like that... grrr.... If someone was spamming or hitting taunts over and over again, ok.. but don't kick someone because of thier ping. |

The Admin obviously pimps his arse for business in the wastelands of Mongolia to do a thing like that. Anyone played on the Drunken Sniper public servers?? I assume that they are all the same, with their auto-ping-kicks: but one i was on was giving me a nice ping, normally 100-170 ish in a CTF-instagib match, i was ruling the map for my team and the bastard ping started to fluctuate, for second intervals - so i kept getting warned that i was about to be kicked. But each time my ping dropped in time - i think the limit was 220 or 250, something like that. Anyway, closing stages of the game, teams are neckandneck, we are two players short of the other team but holding our own and the bastard instant-kick device decides that my ping didnt drop back down fast enough so kicked me. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRG was not dissimilar to the noise i uttered. http://boards.ioerror.com/mad.gif In the end i logged back in for the last two minutes of the map, (lavagiant) but obviously i started with no frags and our team lost the last capture. Sucked to the extreme, let me tell you. Was a great game until that point, but i suppose i knew the score beforehand. geez, if everyone did that then I would never be able to get a game. You all know how good my connection is off my 56k ... What actually gives you a good ping cause as you know I probably have the worst connection on these boards but my ping rarely goes above 250 - usually about 200.... |

something to note, even though I agree that he was a prick, just because I know who it was. the game was instagib, where ping has a far greater effect than it would in a ormal game ie "wep's" |

Yeah, the admin deserves to be run over repeatedly by a steamroller. That way it'll flatten him out, and with the larger surface area he might absorb some common sense through diffusion or something...nah. |
