I'm glad I'm not the only one that's bored... http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif ------------------ X |
I personally agree with Xevious completely. I can't stand it when these people try and blame video games when people go homicidal. If anything, you should blame the guy who killed someone for being such a fucking idiot that he let himself be influenced into killing someone because of a video game. And another thing, what's with this "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." I think that the gun sure as hell helps!! I'm all for making guns harder to get and also making sure the person buying them is not a mental patient. But when it gets so bad that everyone has to be punished because a few frickin' idiots have to go kill someone, that's what irks me. Oh yea, I personally have a .22 long rifle with a 10x scope (I can hit a target the size of a nickel from 100 yds away with that baby), a Glok 9mm, and a Enfield 1861 (For my Civil War re-enactments) ------------------ Master of the He-Bitch Slap! All will beware!!!! |
I've been playing violent games all my life, but I've never been motivated to kill anyone! I've even got several guns at my house (A .223 w/scope, a .22, a 9mm pistol, and a 12 guage shotty), yet I would never dream of using them on a person! Those people who say video games kill people are complete morons! Pisses me off... ------------------ "Better the Devil you know." ManWhore, You said "Whats with this guns don't kill people, people kill people." Consider this hypothetical situation....Suppose people, criminals, murders, physco's ect. ect., decided that guns were out for killin people and......two litre Dr. Pepper bottles were in. Are ya gonna say "two litre Dr. pepper bottles dont kill people, people kill people kill people."? My point is guns in and of themselves don't kill people, so why ban them or make them harder to get? Would you ban Dr. Pepper? I don't think so. http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif And does anyone really think gun control laws are gonna make it harder for criminals to get guns? As if the people that are prone to murder are gonna do it with a legally obtained firearm. All these laws do is make it a pain in the ass for those of use that don't do these crazy things to obtain firearms. The saying "10% of the people cause 90% of the problems for 100% of the people" comes to mind. Sorry about my rant session, I feel strongly about the subject. http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif ------------------ Peace Out |
Old Grendel: Used the .223 military brass for the .222 contender I had. Worked great. On the same line of thought as your post, I'd been around guns from diapers 'til now. Played "ARMY" in the fields of Pennsylvania as a kid. You know, "BANG, BANG, YER DEAD" scenario. Played FPS games a lot. Friends too. But none of us ever had that desire to pick up a firearm to kill on intention. While growing up as a teen it was considered low to pull a gun or even a knife. That would be viewed as a lack of "Manhood" as the teen mentality of those days went. But things have really changed drastically now-a-days. Seems it's a no-holds-barred frame of mind just as long as you win. Winning today is everything and I don't agree with that attitude. Where is it headed? *shrugs* |
