If you have Half-life try that. You should get around 60+ FPS in D3D and over 100 in openGL. {NO you will never see these in UT}.
If you get that your card is fine. UT is the problem, wait for the supposed D3D messiah, patch 406.
If you have trouble in HL, they chances are you did not uninstall your VooDoo2 drivers correctly. This is a problem as 3dfx has not bothered to document every little file oand registry entry. Try using Add/Remove programs under control panel and cross your fingers. If it is not there, might I suggest backing up all important data, formatting the drive and reinstall everything making sure to not install the Voodoo drivers. If you are using the Voodoo2 in conjunction with the geforce, get the GLIDE only drivers, as for openGL and D3D the GeForce will be the card of choice, but for glide you will use the VooDoo2.
