AMR slot....
 
ok, what the heck is an AMR slot? the mobo coming w/ my computer has 1 AGP4x, 3 PCI, and 1 AMR slot. what is it?

Many new chipsets (Apollo KX133, etc.) and motherboards are supporting this new type of slot. Seems to be a substitute for ISA if you are using it with a sound card or a modem.

AMR = EVIL. It's made to put more of the Audio/Modem load on the processor (it's an Audio/Modem Riser slot) Don't use it. It'll disappear soon.
