Problem with Dialup Adapter and Network card stacks.

There is a wierd problem I experience with my stacks. I had my Dialup adapter installed and I got a Network card because I'm going to a Lan party. I installed the card and it worked and tryed to ping myself using 127.0.0.1 and it worked fine.

But I tried it out with a friend and thus had to assign each computer an ip address and I did so. But after I did the tcp/ip didn't work. I tried to ping my ip that I assigned but it didn't work. I tried to ping his ip but it didn't work and the same with him. So I took some advice and uninstalled everything. I reinstalled the network card stack and everything and it worked. I then reinstalled the dialup adapter stack and tried to connect to the net it worked for about one second then after I got connected it just bumped me. How could I get these working together?

I got Pentium II 400-overclocked to 450
128MB ram
Matshita DVD-CDrom SR-8583
Sound Blaster Live! Value
9.5 GB hard drive
Voodoo3 2000
Rockwell PCI Modem
Sceptre p73 Monitor
IntelliMouse w/IntelliEye
3Com Etherlink 10/100 PCI 3C905c-TX
Gravis Xterminator

BTW I have to have DNS enabled in my Dialup TCP/IP settings and I have settings under there.

Thanks

yes, Basically tcp/ip didntwork for the nic if the dialup adapter was installed first and tcp/ip didnt work for the dialup adapter if the nic tcp/ip was installed first

I'm trying to get them both working together
