What has the world come to?

Dont u remember the days when the world was not a total sex crazed planet? They even got sex on cartoons like Family Guy, and comics like Danger Girl. This is rediculous! Few years from now, are 10 year old kids will be porn stars!

You retard. The Family Guy and Danger Girl are all about having blatant sexual themes. It's just what they are.

What would be shocking would be a Martha Stewart Christmas Special, with Martha in a G string.

Television is evil. I especially think stupid funny shows like 'Undressed' and all of the shows in Toonami on Cartoon Network are bad. They have girls in them. They must be evil. The only show that is ok is 'Martha Stewart's Living' and church shows. If you watch other programs, you're going to hell, along with the rest of America.

Undressed is crap... but for some reason, when I'm flipping through the stations and I come up to it... I can't turn it off.

The reason we see so much sex on tv is so we have plenty of "jerk" material. If we all went out and had sex with everybody like they did in the sixties... we would all come home pissing razor blades. http://boards.ioerror.com/biggrin.gif

Point of this thread... who cares?

It corrupts america's youth, Xevious. I mean, their parents don't care enough about them to know whether or not they have 5 lbs of explosives in their closet, what they're looking at on the internet, which shows they're watching, anything. So it's up to the government to be responsible for the things that kids see. Yet people still get mad at censorship and other controls. They want their fun, just no responsibility. Bastards.

I agree with the original post. It's getting a little ridiculous. I mean, I like hot babes as much as the next guy but absolutely nothing is left to the imagination anymore. Everything is so "in your face" these days to the point it's gotten tacky and cheap.

For once, just once, I'd like to turn on the TV and NOT see two of the beautiful-people, hollywood, twentysomethings mashing all over eachother half naked. It's just gotten to be a big ratings game to see who can have the most sizzle and sex appeal. But now it's nonstop, 24 hours and in everything. Personally I prefer my smut where it belongs... in smut mags, porn sites and on the porn channels. http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif

That's why there are morning cartoons and primetime... Little kids shouldn't be watching primetime sitcoms. That should be up to the parents.

And there is another extreme as well. I have an aunt who raises her kids not to do, say, or look at anything that is "of the devil". One of my cousins is around 11 or so and my aunt still will not let him see Disney's Pocohauntas(sp?) because somebody dies in it. They go to private schools and are hidden from things like drugs, sex, homosexuality, etc. What the fuck do you think is going to happen when they get old enough and go off to college, get a little freedom, and learn about the real world (no, not the TV show http://boards.ioerror.com/wink.gif ). They are going to go nuts.

Anyway... I'm getting off the subject, kinda. TV would suck if it was all family shows. Murder and rape is all over the evening news, nobody is trying to take that off.

I see that... but that is the parental right to do that. Nothing against your aunt, but that is just stupid to do that. I hate wehn people try to keep themselves in a little 'bubble' and prevent others from having an influence on them. The bubble will burst eventually, and I don't want to see what happens. But you know, those catholic schoolgirls can be the most fun.. hehe. (Trust me, I have a very religious GF, or at least she used to be. Damn me to hell now, but I opened her eyes to the world, and she ain't looking back http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif) Anyway, back to the topic... we ought to excersise that little thing called 'judgement' in our lives. Believe it or not, having an opinion on somehting and acting on it is not all bad, no matter what the democrats tell you.
If you think being gay is wrong, you have every right to say it. If you don't think they should pass out condoms in schools, tell the people in charge. Our country has become so enthralled and obsessed with not offending anyone that we no longer have opinions except for thinking 'don't offend anyone' and 'do what feels good.' That's it. Why else would you see 14 year olds having babies? Their parents want to be their best friends, and not have any discipline or opinions. It's hard to grow up with firm morals when you have nothing to stand on when you're young. But now that I am done ranting, I'll give all the readers who mad it this far a break http://boards.ioerror.com/smile.gif Hope it made sense...

I agree... it's up to the parents. I have a friend... his mom thought him to roll when he was 12. Yeah... great mom. Now instead of her supplying him with weed, he sells it to her.

I smoked a little when I was younger, but come on... there is a difference between a mom and a friend.

Huge difference. Why are people so stupid? Seriously, why can't they figure out how to think for themselves? We're in a very troubled time in human 'evolution', one where there is a lot of information and rights being doled out to people who cannot handle that load. It'll be interesting to see if society collapses or rises to the challenge. It's going to be interesting...

The biggest problem in modern society is that personal freedom is now being interpreted as the right to never be exposed to anything that "might" offend you. "IF you dont like it, get it banned" or the like.

Ironically, the sex on TV and religion in public schools debates are virtually the same arguments. "I dont want my child exposed to something that I dont agree with and I refuse to teach my child right from wrong". With sex on TV its always been that it "corrupts" children so they shouldnt tbe watching it. Unfortunatly, instead of the parent payign attention to their child, they go on a religious crusade against all things free.

The religion in school debate had the same argument. "I dont want my child exposed to another religion that I dont agree with". but again instead of making it a personal decision, they moved to ban all religion, missing the point that its the childs choice whether or not to particiapate like it should be.

I personally, like most humans out there, enjoy sex.... yes.. you heard me... I enjoy sex. However, if I dont like a show, I watch something else (once I manage to stop watching the scanty-clad women on the trampolene).....
