Weapons Switching not working.

The weapons feature has ceased to function in UT. I have re-installed and re-patched twice and the switching worked for a while and then quits for good. The box is checked and the weapons are in the proper order. When picking up a weapon of greater strength, it does not switch as it should. It switches for the damn bots! Help! This is really cramping my game!

I'm having the same kind of problem: it sometimes switches weapons, and sometimes not. Worse of all, the "Switch to better weapon" bind now switches me to the automag it's really annoying (and it got me killed more than once )
I've tried to re-do the bind but it didn't changed.
Anyone has clues ?

Well I have reported this suspected bug to the folks at the UT tech page. The only thing I have not tried is playing without the 405 patch to see if the weapons switching feature fails. Some weapons do not even appear in the list when the box is brought up! What is up with this? Just makes me nuts, you have another player on your ass and you you pick up the Flak cannon, you only have a second to shoot but "too bad, your weapons switching features does not function and you did not select the weapon fast enough, so you die". Just plain sad.
