Can't see new skins & models to select them

I can't see any avatar for the skins that I've downloaded. I can't get all of them to work, and the ones that do seem to be at random. Do they just not come with avatars yet? Am I just an idiot? Can I fix it?

What skin are you having problems with? I have had many problems with a few and figured most of them out.
