I'd like to see a mod that concentrates on melee combat instead of machine guns, but still in a sci fi setting. I really liked the light saber battles in Jedi Knight 2 and would love to see something similar with better graphics. Though the main aspect is close combat with (different?) swords and maybe some combos, there should also be some light weapons such as pistols, SMGs and maybe even a sniper riffle with very few ammo, but NO machine guns.

I already looked at some mods in the downloads section, but most of them are in a medieval setting.

Download chaos and put the chaos games files in the system folder that comes with the main game, it comes with chaos dm and chaos tdm, which just give out more awards king of the hill , and duel which has melee weapons such as swords,maces and axes,also it has horde hunters with monsters but you fight them with the melee weapons, also chaos has alot of new things, like new weapons(you can use the weapons that come with the game and the ones with chaos at the same time, they change every minute) such as a flamethrower, which can also shoot ice so you can walk on water, an enhanced ripper from the original ut and my favorite, the gravity vortex, which is like a black hole.Also it has relics which you can use instead of adrenaline if you want, which give you special abilities, like revenge where when you die there is a redeemer like explosion killing anyone near your body. Also in ons and vctf every now and then the scorpion will change into the chaos bike that can do a wheelie and fire rockets,and the manta turns into a hoverboard. They also have the proxy mines which look like smiley faces that have chipmunk like voices and are funny.And the best thing is that it doesnt take up much space. On the forums at there site you can download maps for duel and koth.P.S the duel mode doesn't work with the latest patch, the 3399 patch, only the 3355 patch, but if you have the 3399 patch don't worry, just download the 3355 patch again and it will work. You dont have to use the features or weapons it comes with if you don't want to but suggest you use them with the ut2004 weapons.So if you want a melee mod download chaos, but it has other cool things too.
