Default link gun crashes game

Hi everybody, new to the forum, have a beer on me

I've got a custom skeleton/animation/karma all put into the game. The problem is that anytime my character is killed using the alternate fire with the LINK GUN, the character desintegrates into the default unreal skeleton, with no animation or dynamics for a split second then the game crashes. As far as I can tell the other weapons kill my character fine, it's only when the link gun desintegrates him. any ideas?

Are you on the latest patch? This sounds like a UT problem, not a problem with your model.

The last patch i installed was the 200mb mega pack....not sure if there is a new one...

That's the latest...

Have you tried using some of the game's default Karma settings?

well that's just it. if my character has NO karma, the game crashes as soon as he killed...no matter what kind of weapon. so there has to be some kind of karma data. I've used a ton of KAT simulations with different settings but still get the same result once back in the game...really weird huh?
