VOODOO 3 DRIVERS anybody know where can i get voodoo3 2000 beta drivers?? |
You can always try cnet or www.download.com |
voodoofiles.com x3dfx.com reactorcritical.com ------------------ The Flying Penguin :) http://TheFlyingPenguin.com |
The beta drivers are slower then the official 1.07 drivers, install the 1.07 drivers and then install the x3dfx upgrade drivers. |
i know i need it for open gl cuz gay 3dfx doest supoort it and becuz 3dfx is out now they wont make any games using glide so 3fx crds are **** btw is ATI Rage 128 32mb better then voodoo3 2000? cuz before i didnt know 3dfx was gonna go out so i trade it bad move i made |
Nah its not, Trust me, stick with the v3, and btw, 3dfx drivers support opengl, the latest 1.07 are great for all areas, ogl, d3d and glide. |
yeah i know they do they support open gl but lag liek shiittt becuz its not made for it. but ATI rage 128 is damn i want my rage 128 card back |
go get the Voodoo 5 Beta drivers and install them. They work GREAT and Quake 3 @ 1024x768 run at around the 63fps mark. I have never seen it drop below 50fps. I can even run the game at 1280x1024 and get 49fps. Of course, useing the HSR! Sure as hell works wonders for me.Trust me, They'll even give you a major boost-o-rama in almost every other game that uses any 3 API! |
voodoo 5 drivers install on a voodoo3 2000? its works?? do u have it install?? oh yeah one thing how about the compatibility?? and the stability?? Also is there any artifacts?? [This message has been edited by ShAdOw_WaRrioR (edited 03-26-2001).] |
All Voodoo5 drivers work on the Voodoo3 2000...beta or not... you will just have to install them the old fashioned way...using your control panel. I couldn't seem to get the V5 driver installer to install the drivers right automatically. So I unzipped the V5 beta drivers into a temp folder, and installed them using the control panel.... no artifacting that I see....OPenGL in the latest V5 driver aren't too bad either.. |
