Default GLQUAKE

How on earth do you get GLQUAKE.exe to run in anything other than 640x480? I have tried the command glquake -width 800 -height 600 (and 1024, 768, respectively) on EVERY single persons computer I know with a 3d card and glquake.... the same thing always happens for mine and all of theirs: it loads for a sec then closes. (vid cards ive tried it on: v2, v32k, tnt, tnt2 ultra, all in various systems) I have never seen glquake in anything other than 640x480! I would really like to see something different.

I'm sure you just forgot to mention this in your post, but just in case you didn't...

You DO know that you have to include the complete command, don't you?
Such as: -width 800 -height 600 -bpp 16

If you're already doing this, then perhaps your config file is messed up. Did you rename OpenGl32.dll in the Quake directory?
