Status: Either gaming or...gaming Rep Power: 17 | Nvidia Kernel Mode constant crash My Asus G53sw has been working fine for quite some time now, even all day when gaming Chivalry, Until just this evening. I keep getting a message pop-up saying "Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver has stopped responding and has recovered successfully". This causes my screen to go black for a second then strange things randomly happen. Some screens will be purple, some will constantly flash, it's messed! I can no longer game anything. It just freezes at the main menu. I tried updating drivers and even rolling back to old drivers. Still doing the same thing. It seems to happen most often when I open Firefox. I've read many of the same problems online but no official fix. Only thing I can think of is maybe opening it up and cleaning/reseating the video card but I'd like to avoid that if possible.
Can anyone help? |
