Default Just beat the **** out of a virus

These things happen, so I'll give a heads up so no one else has to deal with this.

It's called the XP/Vista/7 Defender virus. It's basically one of those fake anti-virus programs that infects your computer and pops up a million false positives in order to get you to pay $90 and steal your credit card info most likely.

It also, like most of these, stops your internet, task manager, and everything else and fucks with .exe files.

So, keep your guard up, and in case you ever do encounter it, this is the article that saved my ass:

Remove Vista Defender (Uninstall Guide)

Happy Christmahankwanzakah!

You think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you.
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger,
You'll learn things you never knew, you never knew.

I'm getting tired of those things, had to deal with three different variations myself this year.
I wish people could just keep their computers virus free,...

The other side of the coin is the dependency on IE. Many business related websites require IE for full functionality, so we can't just remove IE from these computers. We've tried though,...

It only helps so much when the ad says "Your computer is infected, please download and run this utility, its not a virus, we promise."

Man, reading that I thought you said you had to deal with 3 on your home machine. I was going to wonder what the hell you do when you're home.
