Default Corsair H80i/H100i?

Has anybody used either of these (or similar) in the past? I saw newegg has the H100i on sale for black friday and I'm thinking of getting it. I'd expect the H100i would get better temps than an H80i, being a 240mm radiator instead of 120mm, is this a reasonable assumption? The size doesn't bother me at all, my case has a top mount for 240mm radiators that just sits there letting dust in at the moment.

So, yeah... Thoughts, opinions? I'm just running stock cooling right now on my phenom II x4 975, which as you'd imagine is utterly atrocious both in temps and noise levels under any sort of load, especially in the summer. That chip was not made for a crappy stock HF. Hoping to both keep noise down and improve my temps, figured I might as well just splurge and get a self-contained liquid unit. I know they don't really perform as well as custom liquid cooling, but the CPU is really all I need to cool and I think custom water cooling is way overboard. I know I could just go for something like a hyper-212 and save a bunch of money, but Christmas is coming up and all and I don't really have much on my list that doesn't involve making my car obnoxious, so... I figure why the heck not.

I've currently got an H60 hooked up to my 2600k and it cools it pretty damn well.

The worrying thing as always with watercooling is "will it spring a leak if it's used enough?" But, so far it's hasn't done anything of the sort.

Well the new tubing in the H100i looks pretty solid to me. Looks similar to radiator tubing in a car, which is supposed to stand up to all kinds of abuse. Way better than the plastic tubing on the older models.

Tried out the H100i on my wife's most recent build. Really good performance, I would just check that the radiator is compatible with your case (there's a few lists lying around)

Is there something different with it than regular old 240mm radiators?

EDIT: Looked it up, as I suspected it will fit my case just fine.
