icon_question .BGD File Format

Anyone have any clue on how to open these, they are apparently similar to .ZFS/.Megs/.Bigs/.Pak (essentially a folder containing many sub folders and files)... the specific ones I am trying to open are for RedLine (1999) (also called RedLine Gang Warfare 2066)... Any help would be appreciated...

The only info I can find about .bdg file format is that it is used by Badge Designer which from the looks of it, is a program. I'm kind of lost as to what it's used for seeing as this is the first time I've heard about this format.

All I found was this that is relevant.
.bgd file format

If however your 100% sure that it is like a .pak then would should be able to rename the extension and unzip it. If it won't extract after it is renamed to a .zip try a .pk3.

I am sure it contains files, however, in what order, I am not sure, I opened it in notepad++ and saw it contained .Geos (which are a model format) and others.. what exactly is a .pk3?

A .pk3 is what followed .pak. .pak files were used in quake and .pk3 were used in quake 3 and sof2 along with a few other quake 3 engine based games.
Winzip and winrar open those files types so long as you have assosiated those types with that software.

When in doubt, 7zip. It can open almost anything, and at the very least will let you try, without having to officially associate the file type.

Still didn't work.

Almost tempted to attempt to find one of the developers that worked on the game... though such a task would be almost impossible considering the game was made in 1999 and the company that made is apparently now Atari

Then you're probably out of luck, unless you're a really savvy programmer or know one that would take on a completely unknown file format :P
