Default 6970 fan control program

While playing Alan Wake I noticed that my 6970 was getting rather hot (80-90 degrees C) while the fan speed was limited to 30%.

Which third party tool would be good to set a custom fan curve while not posing a compatibility problem with the Catalyst software?

I think MSI Afterburner is compatible with AMD processors. Probably one of the best options.

Yeah, Afterburner is your best bet. It allows you to set up to eight temperature points, and corresponding fan speeds. It also lets you choose between linear and stepped fan speed progressions, which (I think) is very cool.

Thanks, I'll give that one a try then.
