LOL.
I have a gigabyte P67 board coming on Wens.
Like I've said in the past, they make great boards. But their software is absolutely terrible (lucky for me that SB boots at the same speed that you can bench at)

can we get back on topic please.
I kinda wish i got the msi board after all becuase i really wanted that using a mouse in bios feature.

Why? The new bios is causing some issues for a bunch of boards.
The older-bios menu for some reason is making the gigabyte boards more efficient than everyone else who uses the EUFI bios.

*sighs* oh I guess i did good then lol becuase the sells person told me that msi's p67 has a lot of issues i didnt trust him that much but i went ahead and got this GB board.

Is there still that issue with the P67 boards with the SATA connections?

The low-end MSI boards have issues but the GD65 and up should be OK.

No issue (that we know of) with B3 rev boards and sata connections.

I hate EZ Tune or that power saving program and that auto BIOS update crap, More like a virus than a program.Too much control over the top of windows and BIOS and is hard to get rid of.
The files you don't need are (after uninstall)
etdrv.sys
GTdrv.sys
GTdrv64.sys

They implant those in ENUM/ROOT legacy and you need to use regedt32.exe and change permissions to eliminate them.
Provided you click on the tiny "save" default button in EZ Tune BEFORE you unistall it, otherwise the settings stick, pain in the ass.

Who in the hell uses Windows-level software for OCing anyway? That's just asking for problems.

I do, but more at the top-end of things.
You'll find that once you get to a certain bclk or clockspeed that you cant boot past a certain point, but you will be able to raise clocks up to 300-400mhz in windows (win XP has a 100% load period before you get into windows, vista and 7 dont have this for example but wont top out so high due to added stress on your IMC/ NB)

Asus Turbo-V is pretty damn awesome when it comes to being stable at extreme clocks. The rest of the companies... not so much

Guys, seriously. Old married couple. As far as I can remember the point of this thread is to give Demtri advice. What the point of this thread is NOT is beating on kow because he always goes crazy with the LN2. It is NOT for beating on Omen because he's overly aggressive about everything. And it is NOT for filling up a thread with posts that demonstrate the maturity of a pair of 5-year-olds.

No not really, I just hate any program that leaves crap all over your system, "uninstall" should mean uninstall.
3Dmark is like really bad, I learned that like more than 5 years ago, they always have done that.
Back in the DOS win3.1 days, all you did was delete the directory.

Things have gotten MUCH better with EZ tune the way it works, but the uninstall and reverting my settings to stock settings is flawed IMO.

Also Kow brings up something that I would have never thought of, overclocking after windows loads,
even though logic you would think just on a machines point of view.
A lot of people use it, and Gigabyte never stops hyping it from a long time ago, years, so if it was a bad thing or fried motherboards, I don't think any company would dare use them outside of their labs.

You should try Revo Uninstaller Red. Best uninstall tool I've ever used, very thorough.
