Re: I've decided....

ENOUGH Kow, I'm not going to get in a ridiculous pissing contest with you over fans. You recently said something to the effect that you'd ordered a particular fan and was actually worried when you installed it and it didn't make much noise (not going to be bothered digging up the exact quote).

That combined with you using any means (including advocating "If you aren't killing it, you're doing it wrong") to OC a system, and what else am I to think but this guy isn't the best one to get quiet PC advice from. Deal with that or talk to someone else about it because I'm done discussing it with you.

GEEZ, it's like you always have to stick your nose into a conversation like everyone has to follow YOUR demented advice.

Just because I know how to push a computer to its limits without dying doesn't mean I dont know anything about low-end to mid-range components. Ass.

Nicely put.

Doesn't matter how good a fan is with noise/CFM, it'll still be noisey, unless it's 600RPM or something, unless it's undervolted.

This from a guy that insisted on an ultra expensive, ultra low noise Noctua that many from what I've read say is over hyped? Something just doesn't sound right about that. :wtf:

They're still noisy, just less noisy than some generic value fan running at the same speed. That wasn't taking a stab at Noctua or anything, that's just pointing out that at anything around 1000RPM or greater, you still hear the air. Just a rather annoying fact. And for the record, they weren't that expensive. €17 for the P12s versus ~€12 for GTs.

Agreed. I personally would rather take advice from someone who has personally used multiple parts & tested them in various configurations & has hands on experience in being able to speak from personal use than someone who has just "read" about them.

Apparently Pedantic's message went unheard. Seriously, guys. You can argue about who's better on your own time. Take it to PMs.
