system service exception BSoD Hey guys Ive been getting heaps of crashes lately only seems to happen while I'm playing black ops havn't tried any other games to see if its an isolated with black ops or not anyway, The game crashes sometimes might crash to desktop but last 2 tries to play it i got BSoD system service exception, it seemed to happen after a flash bang and explosion if it makes a difference other then this my computer is running fine and has had no other crashes, does any one have an idea why might this be happening, is it a black ops issue and not a hardware issue? Cheers |
Re: system service exception BSoD Play another game and see if it does that. I had a friend who had a similar issue in cod4 where his computer would freeze if he used a sniper rifle scope. |
Re: system service exception BSoD Alright Ill have to install another game and check it out |
Re: system service exception BSoD My first thought is to un-install the sound driver, reboot, test game, then reinstall directX, reboot, test game, then reinstall the original sound driver, test again, then reinstall current sound driver, reboot. You may want to redo vid card driver current version before you reinstall DirectX. or forget testing the game, each round, just do the installs, also drop any EA stuff, setup sound card in windows just to check (device) |
Re: system service exception BSoD Well I tried out Medal of Honer and it worked fine, Hmm I'm suprised you said sound drivers first I'm currently using Sennheiser headphones with have there own sound-card/driver, so ill try using the standard realtec driver and see what happens then Ill try everything else you recommend |
Re: system service exception BSoD So I just tried using the other driver played through 2 games then BSoD but a different one this time I got "A Clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval"??? |
Re: system service exception BSoD Is your overclock a stable one? |

Re: system service exception BSoD I've done a 5 hour OCCT Large data passed with no problems, I thought would be a long enough test for what I do. Ill bump up VTT/QPI and see what happens EDIT: My vcore is set at 1.750v, cpu-z 1.264v and when doing a quick OCCT it drops to 1.22v with load which may not be enough volts? is this to much of a drop? I have up'd my VTT/Qpi Slighty also Ill do some tests and see what happens |
Re: system service exception BSoD give it 1.35v cpu and 1.25v qpi. should fix your issues |
Re: system service exception BSoD My qpi was already at 1.275v while having the problems, so I'm trying vcore 1.306v and VTT/Qpi 1.31v |
Re: system service exception BSoD Played through 4 games with out a blue screen so I guess I just needed to up my volts a little, thanks guys |
Re: system service exception BSoD Sound good. I've had that same BSOD lots of times while playing around with my i7. |
Re: system service exception BSoD A year 2 months, only once when I screwed around trying to do something in windows, otherwise never a BSOD. I only use the BIOS, turbo no overclocking. (Vista 64 Biz, to windows 7 pro) |
