Improved Gaming Performance?

I'm soon going to buy a new laptop. Yes i know laptops arn't good for gaming i have to get one though for college.

I am currently using:
HP Pavilion dv8000 Review by LAPTOP Magazine

The one i am purchasing next week will be a:

Buy an HP Pavilion dv4 and dv4t series notebook PC from HP | HP Official Store

All settings will be on low. Just wanted to know if there will be noteable difference in game play. At least 25-30 FPS in a 25 man raid with all video settings on low.

Id appreciate it.

Also if
Gateway - Laptop with AMD Athlon™ II Dual-Core Processor - Cherry Red - NV5390u

would be a better choice.

Game of preference is World of Warcraft.

The notion that "laptops are bad for gaming" is crap.

However, neither of those laptops are going to do well at all. They both use shitty integrated graphics. The second one has slightly less shitty graphics, but it uses an AMD dual-core processor, which you should avoid in a laptop at all costs.

Unfortunately, you're going to have to increase your budget if you want to get anything capable of running WoW. Namely, you want something with a dedicated graphics card, at least an ATi 4570 or nVidia 9600m or GT 230M.

Suggest anything around $700?

But out of those 2 the Gateway is better?

Not looking for the most perfect machine at all. Don't wanna spend 1000 dollars on a laptop so i can have 60 FPS all the time. lol college student payments suck. So i am simply looking for a machine that will at least get me 20 FPS in a 25 man raid with all settings on low.

I've been running wow on:

for about 3 years now so ive learned to deal hehe

That's definitely an excellent deal for that laptop, I highly recommend it, and as computernerd mentioned, Asus is a solid reliable brand.

Well i'm glad i decided to ask for your opinions before i bought that HP or Gateway. Might have seen a slight increase in performance compared to the system i have now but i would have kick myself for not shelling out the extra $200 for this comp.

Thanks again.
