What's with the 800Mhz core clock? The standard 5770 specs is 850Mhz, are you underclocking it or did it come like that?

I'm seriously considering picking up a 5830 once they are released. They are looking to be just a little slower than a 5850 at stock, and should OC just as well since they are using the same core, just with some shaders disabled.

Oops, should be 900 :p

And, for those of you not having this glitch...

Crazy ass glitch on 5XXX series

I'm also having it, and it's getting quite annoying after a little while.

What OS and driver version are you using? ATI released a hotfix for that issue for the Cat 9.12 drivers here:
GPU42ATICatalyst9.12Hotfix

Update to Cat 10.1 if you haven't already. If that doesn't work, it seems enabling cursor trails (on the lowest setting) is a quick fix.

It has something to do with Windows 7 and the 5xxx series, but the fix worked anyway.

Just a few benchmarks, done with Fraps or in-game benchmarks:

Unreal Tournament 3, highest settings, 1680x1050:

Min: 53
Avg: 103
Max: 158

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., highest settings, 8x AA, 1680x1050 (in-game benchmark)

Min: 37
Avg: 69
Max: 86

GTA 4, highest settings, 1680x1050 (in-game benchmark)

Min: 36
Avg: 57
Max: 76

Command and Conquer 4 Beta, highest settings, level 3 AA

Framerate limited

Min: 28
Avg: 30
Max: 30

Crisis, 'Gamer' settings (high/very high), 2x AA

Min: 24
Avg: 33
Max: 46

Thoughts?

Decent FPS in most games. Run some 3dmark and I can tell you if you are up to par, too many variables for games to be reliable for gauging performance.

I'd recommend 3DMark Vantage. 06 tends to be pretty CPU limited.

Is that a bad thing?

I personally prefer 01,03,05.

Just dont run the CPU tests on 03/ 05 (click exit before the cpu tests start and it still gives you a score)

Vantage isn't really any fun and you have to pay $10 to get a score.

No, it's not. It's just that he wants an idea of how good his computer is with his new video card. It'd give him a better idea with something that's a little more on the GPU side of things. I personally prefer 06. 03's not bad either.

Eh, not a fan of 06. Cant really tweak for it. Just throw on some mhz and run until it doesn't crash =/

01 is good as long as your running XP. Any scores under Vista or 7 tend to pretty much suck. My score went up by almost 20,000 just from running in XP after using 7. My scores under 7 for 03-06 were actually better than XP though. So far i like 03 the best.

I like Vantage. If it wasn't for the free advanced edition key i got with my 4870 i probably would have never used it though.
