There's a shortage of 5850s everywhere. And unfortunately, there is no real reason for AMD to produce 5850 GPUs when there's such a 5870 shortage as well and AMD can make more money per 5870 than per 5850. So you're stuck for now. To be fair, the 5870 is pretty good, you could consider getting one of those. Or maybe 2 5770s, 57750s, 4870s, or 4850s in Crossfire. 4850s are dirt cheap right now, and you can get 2 for about $200 and it would nearly get 5850 performance levels for $100 less. Same deal goes for 4870s. I'm not sure about the 57xx GPUs, how they're doing in terms of availability, but I think power-wise and feature-wise those are obviously the better choice.

Yeah, every single site or shop i've seen is out of stock on the 5800's right now.

If you were to go with two lower cards in Crossfire, i would go with 2x 5770's. The 5770 performs pretty much equal with the 4870 but uses a lot less power, runs a lot cooler, supports DX11, and OCs better too. The 5750 on the other hand is basically the replacement for the 4850.

I don't have the money for two 5770's right now, but I can always put one in later, right?

Yes. I've seen a 5770 for half the price of one 5850. (Komplett.be /.nl)

Yes, that's a good one. (We have the same currency, so i know what I'm talking about )

Btw, make sure your PSU supports SLi/CF.
