But many say you should go to a college or a university to geat an education for this and I have been counting that I leave my current school next summer and enlisted myself to the finland military, so I'll be 23-24 when I get the degree or game programming if I want it
And just seeing that people like CliffyB or John Carmack and almost all of these gamedesigners where very young when they started. So should i have started a long time ago or can i still make it?And then again at my age a year seems alot. hmmm.
I am just not sure what to do.
edit:// argh a small typo in the thread name .gif) | Well it helps to do what I am doing. I am grad at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The #1 art college in the US and the largest in the world. I am getting my MFA in Interactive Design and Game Development. It helps to get an internship with a game studio like I did and get to know how a real studio works etc. It also helps to know people in the biz as well. It is all about what you know and who you know. I was just talking with Jack Mamais yesterday. You may know him from being the lead for Far Cry and CrysiS and many other games. He is a new professor here at SCAD. Here my web site. Have a look around....... Hunter May's Online Portfolio |
