Oh, is that what happens! I saw references to that a few times, but never bothered to look for why logging into a guest account was such a problem. Now I know...and now I'm definitely never, ever buying a Mac.

I like both, for various reasons. It's not like I'm going around yelling at everyone that PC's suck or Mac's suck, as some people do. Both are good for their own uses and if you don't like one or the other that's your problem.

They don't air any of those ads overhere (don't think I ever seen a microsoft OS advertisement either, only a few games ads for WoW and Fifa) on the teli. But regardless, playing onto "fear" of some sort sounds rather silly and ineffective to me.

AFAIK it's only when you upgrade to Snow Leopard from Leopard (or perhaps earlier ones as well if that's possible?), and as such new machines or fresh installs don't have the problem.
