Default Gamepads

I can no longer use my gaming mouse, so I got my game pad out swapping the two sticks over is easy and some games give that option, but my hand coordination is bad now i often do things to kill myself, i need a gamepad that is progamable on both sticks and separately, so idealy i need a gamepad that allows me to move left and right with the left stick and forward and back on the right.
thanks

from GD to Tech discussion. The GD is for general, non gaming related discussions. Hardware discussions are better suited in the tech discussion forum (or alternatively general gaming).

Can this not be configured through Windows' controller thingy? (I've only ever used it once, not sure)

If your thinking of a program to map the controls well then try pinnacle game profiler.

Or some games automatically do it when you stick in the controller...

Buy a wired xbox 360 controller.
